Mid-Season Report

We reach the mid-way point of Season 66 as Red Bull Bristol exceed expectations in and out of the football pitch, and we would like to bring to you the the highlights of the action so far. Here are the best of what has happened in terms of infrastructure, transfers, games and much more!

OUTSIDE THE PITCH

INFRASTRUCTURE

The first and latest news comes from a famous little shop just outside the stadium. Our Merchandise Store is the first facility to reach the maximum level attainable. And there is more! Since we can't physically receive you in the stadium due to these unfortunate times, we are working to bring our shop from the stadium to you! Stay tuned for our online branch of the Merchandise Store that is soon to be completed and inaugurated.

Season 66 also began in the form of a lvl. 7 Youth Academy and Training Ground, which hopefully won't stop there!

The project for the second half of the season includes the reformation and expansion of the other match-day money-making facilities, as well as the seating-capacity of the stadium itself.

"The Red Bull fan can rest assured that this is one of the highest short-term priorities of the project we are building here in Bristol, and we will continue pushing for world-class level infrastructure." said Ansh Cole, ex-player and current board member.

PLAYER DEVELOPMENT

The first half of Season 66 was one of great development for Fergus Stott, Crispin Crane, Dilbert Benjamin and Jakob Prevost, as they hit their 4* REC milestone. All 4 players arrived at the club as youngsters (22 or 23 years of age) with loads of potential, and have shown great professionalism and growth at the training grounds.

Prevost has been the most prominent inside the field. Causing mayhem with his lighting speed and high productivity, as he records 10 goals and 7 assists in his 17 appearances, not missing a single league game so far this season.

The most recognisable, however, is Fergus Stott. A product of Traff's White Walkers' Youth Academy, Stott had a spell at AFC Berserkers before coming to Bristol, playing 53 games and scoring 9 goals for B-side and fellow League 2 Group 4 rival Berserkir GL. The number 9 was the first player to be transferred in, 4 seasons ago. He is 3 goals away from the 100 league goal milestone, but is yet to net a goal against his ex-club Berserkir GL, having come short of scoring at his previous 4 games against the B-side.

INSIDE THE PITCH

CONFERENCE

This is our first official season in The Conference, but there were already a few cup dramas that put a smile in the faces of the Red Bull fans as we are knocked out of both the Conference Cup and the Conference Vase without loosing a single game at home against some of the Conference giants, these are the most memorable:

RB Bristol 1-1 Cuttlers Muppets
A positive result against our main Conference rivals so far, who managed to beat us in the other 3 games we've had so far in this Conference season.

RB Bristol 5-4 Bournemouth Cherries
A crazy game with a result that won't be forgotten any time soon.

RB Bristol 5-0 Devonport Mariners
The "demolition", as described by our very own Honiton Town.

In terms of the Friendly League, as usual, the table doesn't lie.

LEAGUE 2

Season 66 is RB Bristols third venture in League 2 Group 4. The first one guaranteed a respectable mid-table finish at 8th, and the second finished with a heroic play-off spot berth at 4th in the last game of the season.

In our third season in League 2, the initial expectation was a top 6 finish, as two relegated teams made the competition even fiercer. The club has, however, defied all odds in the field, producing a deserved second place performance over the stretch of 17 game, only behind to an unbeaten West Way United that is surging up as an early worthy proprietor for the title.

Nevertheless, the club can be proud of the 75 goals scored and 8 conceded, which marks both the best offence and defence in the league. The objective for the remainder of the season is maintain the play-off spot, staying above our league rivals Hetton Juniors Girls, and hopefully nick a win against West Way United and prevent them from having an invincible season.

These have been the best games so far:

Inception 0-1 RB Bristol
First game of the season victory at the home of the best promoted club in the league.

West Way United 1-1 RB Bristol
Almost coming away with a win from at the home of the league leaders.

Hetton Juniors Girls 0-2 RB Bristol
Do you know that one team that you just can't seem to get a result against? That one game you know you lost it before it even started, even if a pig flies across the skies over the stadium?
Well, not this time. Our first win against what become our personal league rival after beating us four consecutive times.

RB Bristol 0-0 Gunners F.C.
Gunners FC had won the League 2.4 in Season 64, beating us in both games, completely dominating the league. This game was a great example of how the team has grown since our first season in League 2.
Although we couldn't come away with the win. Our 63% possession and 14/9 shots against their 3/0 were a proof that the dominion might be changing sides.

Here's to a great second half of the season!
